Default Favorite show as a kid

On the weekends when Im trapped in the house with Lea I put on old shows or movies in the background that I use to watch as a kid. Shes too young to know whats on but I find its a good excuse to rewatch some of my favorite shows.

So far I've juggled between Gargoyles, Disney movies, Pirates of Dark Water, Fraggles, and I just found The Gummi Bears which I will probably put on for a while.

Whats your favorite kid shows from when you were little?

Pee Wee's playhouse, You Can't Do That on Television, Hey Dude, Full House =)
Self-preservation and self-development are common aspirations among all people. And if everyone enjoyed the unrestricted use of his faculties and the free disposition of the fruits of his labor, social progress would be ceaseless, uninterrupted, and unfailing.

So as a little little girl my mom totally lost that whole Beta/VHS thing and we ended up with those tiny tapes and no cable out in rural Texas so I grew up watching these crazy imported cartoons that haunted me for years. I recently got curious enough to go look them up so if you like weird obscure early 80s Japanimation - and I know you're all like HOLY SHIT ME right now haha - Here ya go. Check out "The Enchanted Journey" the story of two like, hampsters or something that travel to a forest, "Unico" which there were a couple of these one of them Unico ( a tiny unicorn aww) travels to befriend a demon and another he saves some people from being turned into human puppets and then "Ringing Bell" the story of a lamb who watches his mother eaten alive by a wolf and then cries over her corpse for a good 5 minutes. All of those are animated (think Hello Kitty style) and aren't really appropriate for kids.

In the Chicago area when I was little, the weekday morning show was Ray Raynor. It was great, he'd show cartoons & such, but never talked down to the kids or acted like a clown. During the show they'd also mention any school snow closures (during the winter) and would give a traffic report for the parents every 15 minutes or so.

For kids shows though, can't beat the Bugs Bunny group.

there was some show called.... hatchy milatchey? i don't know what the fuck that means. did i dream it? apparently it was a local show. i was supposed to be on it with my class but i was sick and i missed my chance at local tv stardom.

and donny and marie. i watched the shit out of donny and marie. i don't think that was really a kid's show though.
don't you dare ask me what i did to get those hundred dollar bills
