Also as a side note, I'm installing WoW right now. I've never played before and it seems to be a good way to waste some time. Thoughts? Tips/Tricks? Sage words of advice for a n00b?
I know I've been MIA for a while. It doesn't mean I don't love and miss you guys. Just been feeling a little blah and a little fat. Been a little busy, been a little sick more recently in the last week or so. My camera died, and I dont have the funds to replace it, so I dont have any way of taking nice quality pics and my webcam sucks. I'd like it if I could get some funding help for a new point and shoot camera, I dont need the entire thing paid for (I wont say no to a gift, but I can help with part of it if anyone wants to pitch in) but I just dont have it in my budget to drop $150 on a new camera, I am working hard to be debt free in the next year or two, so I'm paying off bills slowly. It might motivate to start being more active again. I'll be back soon though. I still pop in here and there to say hi. xoxo Kiwi
First off, thanks everyone for helping me raise money for my NYC trip for my 25th birthday. I enjoyed it as much as I could, despite everything that went wrong. From the moment I got to my dads house for him to drive me to the airport, things started going downhill. He went a bit too far with the overbearing protective father sending his only daughter off to NYC on her own. Then when my friend met up with me at the airport, he told me he lost his apartment keys. We had to play around his roommate's schedule the entire time. I didnt get to see anything I planned to see, aside from times square. I wanted to see the empire state building, statue of liberty, ground zero, take the NBC Studio tour... none of it. Least I saw a broadway show: Promises, Promises. Not only that but I didnt get my CW tips in time before the trip, and ended up overdrafting my bank account and racking up $100 in fees, so I had to cut down my spending budget for the trip. Luckily I had access to some money in savings I had put away so I survived off that. Oh not to mention I was stood up by a CW fan I've been becoming friends with for 8 months. Not only that but he didn't wish me a happy birthday. So I guess I know where I stand in his book now. And I had to sleep on a complete stranger's couch on my birthday because my friend's roommate wasnt coming home, after being treated like shit at the rudest bar EVER. B Bar in the East Village treated us like scum, which is to be expected in NY, but even the new yorkers we were with complained. All in all, I enjoyed the city. I enjoyed the subway, but hated the heat. I miss it, and I plan on returning someday. Thank you everyone for helping me get there in the first place. I love you all! xoxo Kiwi
June 4th, I will be turning 25. Not sure about anyone else, but I'd consider this a milestone birthday. I mean, I'm turning a quarter of a century old.... thats pretty epic to me. In recent years I've had nothing but birthday failures... 23rd birthday included an ER visit for chest pains, and was full of heartache. 24th birthday I was forced to turn into a babysitter for my drunk friend who got us kicked out and ended up getting puked on by said friend. Awesome. So I want this birthday to be the best ever. I am planning a trip to NYC to see a few friends and see the sights. I've never been to NYC before and Ive always wanted to go. I LOVE big cities. My friend "E" lives out there and is letting me stay with him. I also have an internet friend I've known for about 10 years living in the city now too, so I'll get to meet him hopefully! I have a new job so I can actually budget out bills and play money and I think I can slide in this NYC trip, but it's going to be tight... But I am loving this new job, it pays better than my last job, and is full time. I am so blessed to have landed this position. I love the company and look forward to going in to work every day! I think things for me are starting to look up! :) I am so happy with life right now. So if any of you feel so kind enough to donate to my birthday fund, I will kindly repay any tips over $10 with a picset! I am doing CW shows every monday night from now until the end of the month to try and raise some money to make this trip more affordable. I love each and every one of you, so please help make this birthday the best birthday EVER! XoXoX Kiwi
First and foremost, I hope everyone had a great Easter. I rode with my step brother up north to my mom and step dad's house, about an hour and a half drive. So I started a new knitting project and got about 1/4 or 1/3 of the way done. A skull and crossbones hat with a red bow (a second one) for the twins that are on the way. Here's a pic of the first one: Anyway. I fixed my sewing machine and I got a new purse almost done. I'll post pics of that when it's complete. It's pink polka dots with pink zebra stripes. Also, I enrolled in classes for fall 2010. My workload is increasing because I found out I still have 13 CLASSES (not credits) to take before I get my associates degree. So I am going to school full time. And because of the health care bill, there was a part of it that changes the way Pell Grants are dispensed. I will be getting more money in a Pell Grant, and if/when I take out student loans, it is now easier for me to pay back. Thats a generalization, but that doesn't mean I approve entirely of the bill, but thats a different story. SO. I am just completing my first year back in school after having 5 years away. (God time gets away from us so fast, doesn't it?) I got a 4.0 and on the Deans List last semester, and I only have 3 weeks left in this semester and fully expect the same this time around. So hopefully a full year of being on the Dean's List will give me a scholarship of some sort. I only took three classes each semester, but this fall I'm enrolled in 4 classes.. 13 credit hours.. full time. Intro to Science, Economics, Advanced Web Design, and 2 Dimentional Design. I am excited. Ok. Thats it for now. xoxoxo Kiwi PS: dont forget, I have bootyshake videos for sale! and I can make a personal one based on your request! <3
